Why do I enter awards?

  Well, the truth is that I didn’t for many years as I thought they were pointless and only entered by big heads and posers - there are many photographers who still hold this point of view.

 I then realised that awards improve the entrant’s photography by improving his/her skills at looking and understanding what makes a great image. So, I enter awards for me, to help me get better and to help me take better photographs at YOUR wedding. It’s also really great to receive an accolade from your peers and the awards dinner dances are also fun as well, especially when you win something!
